Lights at Temple Square

A group of us from the ward went to Temple Square for an activity to see the lights. We braved the freezing cold and drank our hot choclate out of the back of my car using my picnic table to set up the treats. Yes CRV's HAVE PICNIC TABLES!!! I love hondas.

Catalina, dear sweet Catalina

I think Amys kids are some of the funniest ones I know. They definately have a sense of humor. This thanksgiving break I got to witness that first hand. Here is Catalina enjoying the swing and climbing up the jungle gym. She amazed me that she could do everything all the other kids could. I think it was hilarious when some of the kids when into the "pee-pee" slide (as we called it when we were younger, but Amy still labels it the same way). Amy was so disgusted I think she didn't even want to touch the kids...haha. I love her!!! I love Nava Adventures!

It didn't work...

I've been very good about my vitamin C intake the last two weeks. I bought oranges and orange juice. Sadly, I got sick anyways. So does this mean I overdosed on Vitamin C? I don't know what it means, but I'm tired of blowing my nose.

Vitamin C

Sunday morning Joyce (my roommate) and I were heading out the door to ward choir, but we decided to chomp down on some oranges. We took the picture to upload on our other roommates computer desktop so she would see how much we missed her being gone this past week. Needless to say she came home and saw our crazy faces on her computer and the picture is still on her desktop (which scares me everytime I walk in the room)- I guess my plan back fired a little. HAHA. Good times, good friends and good oranges!

Graduating April 09

Just an update on my graduation from BYU adventures. I petitioned to graduate for December, but after receiving my approval to graduate I sent in a petition to take back the graduation petition. Lots of paper work, but I think I finally have an answer. I will be staying at BYU till April as a part time student and then graduating in April. Get ready to have a big celebration when that day comes. I am getting ready to take the GRE for grad school (Masters of Public Health) and trying to get things ready for the application. My plans are to apply to a few a schools here in Utah and some in California. Life is getting even more exciting!

Halloweeny

Well I didn't go all out, I just played it safe and didn't spend any money. Everything I'm wearing is mine or borrowed. I went country dancing on wednesday with my friend Joe- so the country spirit just spilled over to the ward halloween party. Fun times!!

Halloween warm up

Halloween is just around the corner. We had an FHE activity where we carved pumpkins. These are my two room mates- Lindsay and Joyce (both way fun girls from Utah). Lindsay is my room-room mate and we decided on carving a happy and mean pumpkin. Don't look to far into the fact that I'm holding the mean one.
I've decided on a costume. "Cougerette"- one of the dancers from the famous BYU dance team. I've just got to work on the outfit and then wear lots of makeup. Our ward has a halloween party next thursday, but not the actual halloween day, so we'll see what I do.
Last night I went on a Halloween Cruise. So fun! Down the provo river!

Stake Service Activity- Planting bulbs at Temple Square

There were millions of bulbs and people diggin deep into the earth to plant tulips and other flower bulbs. It was a lot of hard work, but so fun to be able to visit with friends while doing it. I got a few blisters, but that is the price you pay for such beautiful flowers. Next time you go to Temple Square in Salt Lake city- take time to smell the flowers. (Literally!)

Ben, Heidi, Laura and I (our carpool group).

We will remember you and your apples

Grandma Johnson passed away and I went to the bay area to meet with all the cousins and kids to honor her name. I will never forget her love of travel and all she taught each of us in her own way.

After a few requests...here it is.

I've started a blog for my real life, not just the internship life. Enjoy...
